    The Power and Beauty of Investing
    I decided I wanted to be an investor after a "parent career day" in elementary school. On this particular day, the father of one of my classmates came in to tell us about his job as a stockbroker. I distinctly remember how fascinated I was by the power and beauty of investing and I could only wonder what it must be like to be a market participant. I've been investing in some way or other ever since.

    The Corporate World
    After graduating from college with degrees in Finance and Economics, I got myself hired by a large technology company with a knack for acquiring companies. While with this company, I held numerous positions and was an active participant in buying over a dozen companies (collectively worth billions). At times, I worked on the investment analysis and due diligence and, at other times, I focused on the management and integration of the acquired company. In almost all cases, I assumed the role of CFO for the acquired company.

    Becoming a Full-time Investor
    Working as a corporate investment consultant I realized a couple things. First, in order to progress as an investor, I needed to leave the corporate world and create investments independently. Second, the knowledge and experience I've accumulated is valuable to other investors. Veralta Investment Group is the convergence of these two ideas. It is the place where I actively create real estate investments and can share my expertise with other investors.

    What I'm Doing Right Now
    As it relates to Veralta Investment Group, I balance my time managing the real estate investment group and actively creating, making, and managing investments. My current focuses include building a world class real estate investment team, refining our investment model, and making investments.
